TEOLOGIA DA LIBERTAÇÃO NA PÓS-MODERNIDADE: CONTRIBUIÇÃO À HUMANIZAÇÃO

RESUMO: Aborda-se a relevância da Teologia da Libertação (TdL) diante dos desafios que a sociedade e a cultura hodiernas apresentam à reflexão teológica e à missão da Igreja. A partir do enfoque de alguns aspectos relativos à identidade desta teologia, o autor apresenta o amadurecimento da TdL em seus 45 anos de existência no cenário eclesial e teológico. À guisa de conclusão, vincula-se a reflexão sobre a realidade em torno da libertação de formas sutis de opressão rumo à humanização à hermenêutica da libertação em seu prisma soteriológico. A linguagem de esperança perpassa o discurso da TdL.

ABSTRACT: The article deals with the relevance of the Liberation Theology (TdL) when faced with the challenges that contemporary society and culture pose to theological reflection and the mission of the Church. Based on the focus of some aspects related to the identity of this theology, the author presents the progress of TdL in its 45 years of existence in the ecclesiastical and theological scenario. As a conclusion, reflection about the reality of emancipation from subtle forms of oppression, in the direction of humanization, is associated with the hermeneutics of liberation in its soteriological prism. The language of hope permeates the discourse of TdL.
