A FÉ CRISTÃ DIANTE DE ALGUNS ATEÍSMOS PÓS-MODERNOS

Resumo

O artigo procura estabelecer um diálogo entre a fé cristã e alguns ateísmos pós-modernos. Sabe-se que várias formas de ateísmo emergem no horizonte hodierno, mas no artigo dois são abordados: o ateísmo racional, representado por Sam Harris, e o filosófico de Comte-Sponville. Sem negar a contribuição das críticas que os autores fazem à fé cristã, procura-se mostrar que o cristianismo está em condições de enfrentar os desafios que lhe são lançados. De fato, a fé cristã apresenta razoabilidade suficiente para dialogar com a ciência e a filosofia, acolhendo suas inegáveis contribuições e desafiando-as a avançar na sua compreensão do mundo como totalidade aberta.

 

ABSTRACT: This article tries to establish a dialogue between the Christian Faith and some post modern atheisms. It is known that various forms of atheism have emerged on the actual horizon, but two are treated in this article: rational atheism represented by Sam Harris and philosophical atheism by Compte-Sponville. Not denying the contributions of the criticism that these authors make of the Christian faith, we try to show that Christianism is in conditions to deal with the challenges that they have proposed. In fact, the Christian faith presents suficientreasons for dialogue with science and with philosophy welcoming their undeni-able contributions and challenging them to advance in their comprehension of the world as an open totality.
