MEMÓRIA DO "NOVO" DO VATICANO II: AVENTURA PARA O DESCONHECIDO

Resumo

RESUMO: O Sínodo dos Bispos de 2012 referiu-se ao Vaticano I I destacando o debate sobre a hermenêutica da descontinuidade ou da continuidade. Que a proposta se centre nesta dialética representa uma limitação importante. Não obstante, oferece uma oportunidade para discutir a questão acerca de seu significado epocal com uma perspectiva de longo prazo e para refletir sobre o caráter de 'novidade' da nova evangelização. O presente texto discute o tema voltado particularmente para a transformação de diversas formas histórico-culturais da fé e da experiência eclesial. Daqui se extraem lições e critérios para orientar o caminho da nova evangelização.

ABSTRACT: The Synod of Bishops of 2012 referred to Vatican II by the debate about the hermeneutics of discontinuity and continuity. That the proposal focuses on this dialectic represents an important limitation. Nevertheless, it provides an opportunity to discuss the issue about its epochal significance with a long-term perspective and to reflect on the character of 'newness' of the new evangelization. This paper discusses the topic focused particularly on the transformation of various historical-cultural forms of faith and ecclesial experience. Lessons and criteria are herein extracted to orient the path of the new evangelization.
