Resumo

Based on former writers, Latin, Greek and others, the author tries to illustrate the reports of the battle of the elephants in Bet-Zacaria, fitting them into the general situations of the ancient history and of the first half of the second century B.C. The assembled data demonstrate that mainly the first report mirrors real historic situations based on the reality of the events.
