This article discusses the “turn” (die Kehre) that occurred in Heidegger’s philosophy in 1930. The focus is on the connections the philosopher made between the period of Being and Time and subsequent developments. These connections are mainly ensured in the “Introduction” to the 1929 conference “What is Metaphysics?”. The development seeks to show, through Heidegger’s own words, that Being and Time constitutes only a “stage” in the path of thought. In this sense, the objective is to show some initial elements of the consequences of neglecting the “turn” with regard to the reception of Heidegger’s work, thus highlighting a continuity that cannot be simply ignored.
Keywords: Being and Time. Metaphysics. Thought.
