“CRER”, “SABER” E EXPERIÊNCIA RELIGIOSA EM C.G. JUNG: UM COMENTÁRIO CRÍTICO

Abstract

O texto apresenta uma análise da concepção de experiência religiosa na psicologia analítica de Carl Gustav Jung, sob o ponto de vista da sua contraposição entre fé/crença e conhecimento/saber/experiência de Deus, tal como expressa em sua famosa declaração, em uma entrevista, de que não precisava acreditar em Deus, pois o conhecia. A partir da exposição dos limites e insuficiências dessa concepção, sem descartar a relevância de sua contribuição para a afirmação da legitimidade da experiência religiosa para uma consciência moderna, percebe-se como só uma reflexão ulterior, de índole claramente filosófica, que possa tematizar a questão da transcendência no interior mesmo da experiência religiosa, está em condições de satisfatoriamente compreender o específico “religioso” que determina tal experiência.

Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the notion of religious experience in Carl Gustav Jung's Analytical Psychology, from the standpoint of his opposition between faith/belief and knowledge/experience of God, as it was expressed, during an interview, by his famous statement that he didn't need to believe in God because he “knew”. The exposition of the limitations and insufficiencies of this conception, without disregarding the relevance of its contribution concerning the legitimacy of religious experience for modern consciousness, permits to show that it is only by means of an ulterior reflection, which is clearly philosophical and where religious experience is apprehended through the category of transcendence, that one can grasp the truly “religious” in this experience.
