O A. reflete sobre o sentido histórico, político e espiritual do chamado de H. Bergman a M. Buber, em carta de 4 de fevereiro de 1938, para que ele abandonasse a Alemanha e se estabelecesse na Palestina. Este sentido se revela na expectativa de Bergman sobre a missão a ser desempenhada por Buber em vista da consolidação da comunidade judaica na Palestina, do diálogo da tradição hebraica com as grandes tradições da humanidade e da luta contra as forças destruidoras então em ação.
Summary: The author deals with the historical, political, and spiritual meaning of Bergman's call to Buber, in a letter addressed to him on February 4 of 1938, urging him to leave Germany and settle in Palestine. This meaning appears in the hope expressed by Bergman that he would use his influence to bring about the consolidation of the Jewish community in Palestine, the dialogue between the Hebraic tradition and other great traditions of humankind, and counteraction against the destructive forces engaged in combat at that time.
