O PRESENTE COMO PASSADO

Resumo

O presente ensaio tem por objetivo demonstrar que o irracionalismo contemporâneo é produto da concepção liberal do ser humano na sua expressão mais extrema ”” o individualismo radical. A rigor, a irracionalidade não se restringe à época pós-moderna, mas seu efetivo desenvolvimento só se tornou possível após o surgimento do individualismo e, portanto, com o advento da filosofia que confere suporte à sua construção: o subjetivismo pleno. Este trabalho demonstra, pois, que não existe uma simples coincidência entre a restauração do pensamento liberal e o fortalecimento da filosofia da subjetividade, da mesma forma que não foi casual o aparecimento simultâneo da consciência cartesiana do âmbito da filosofia e da auto-reflexão hobbesiana no campo político.

Abstract: The present essay aims to show that the contemporary irrationalism is a constitutive subject of the liberal conception of the human being in its most extreme expression ”” the radical individualism. In fact, the irrationality is not a specific problem of postmodern society. However, the complete development of this kind of thinking (irrationality) just became feasible after the advent of the individualism and, consequently, from making of its correspondent philosophy: the full subjectivism. So, this work seeks to prove that there is not a mere coincidence between restoration of the liberal thinking and the increase of the philosophy of subjectivity. As well, not accidentally happened the simultaneous development of Cartesian consciousness in the field of philosophy together with Hobbesian self-reflection in political sphere.
