FELICIDADE E BENEFICÊNCIA EM KANT

Resumo

Este trabalho analisa a felicidade no sistema kantiano, comparando a Fundamentação com a Doutrina da Virtude. Enquanto na primeira temos a crítica do eudemonismo na ética, na segunda, a felicidade tem um papel importante nos deveres para com os outros. Tentarei responder às seguintes questões: Por que a felicidade não é a finalidade da moralidade? Por que a felicidade nos dá um dever imperfeito? Pode o dever de beneficência ser justificado no sistema moral kantiano?

Abstract: In this paper I shall analyze the Kantian account of happiness, contrasting the Groundwork with the Doctrine of Virtue. While in the first we have a criticism of eudaimonism in ethics, in the second happiness plays an important part in the duties of virtue to others. I  will try to answer the following questions: Why happiness is not the aim of morality? Why happiness give us an imperfect duty? Can the duty of beneficence be justified in the Kantian moral framework?
