O DOM

Resumo

Nossa exposição filosófica sobre o ”˜dom' se desenvolverá em 4 secções. 1) Antes de tudo, veremos como se articula, em sua expressão mais imediata, a estrutura dinâmica do dom. 2) O que nos leva a recordar as conclusões formuladas por Marcel Mauss em função de sua análise etnológica do dom em relação circular com o contra-dom: o ”˜dom' pertence a um sistema. 3) Em seguida, em contraste com essa tese, apresentaremos duas interpretações filosóficas, contrapostas no tempo, das relações humanas: a de Aristóteles, em seu tratado sobre a amizade, e a de Levinas, sobre a assimetria de uma “relação sem relação”; o que nos facultará uma interpretação do adágio clássico: bonum est diffusivum sui. 4) Afrontaremos, por fim, o tema da ”˜passividade espiritual', tema essencial para a filosofia contemporânea e inerente à problemática do dom. Insistiremos sobre a imanência da receptividade do donatário na estrutura essencial do dom.

Abstract: The philosophic discussion that is being promoted here over the ”˜gift' will be organized in 4 sections. 1) Primarily it is our intention to analyze the dynamic structure of the gift and its articulation. 2) Secondly, to approach the conclusions presented by Marcel Mauss regarding his ethnological analysis of the gift in circular relation with the anti-gift: the gift as part of a system. 3) Next, contesting this thesis, two philosophical interpretations of human relations, opposed in time, will be presented: Aristotle's interpretation in his Treatise on Friendship, and Levinas view of the asymmetry of a “relation without relation”; leading us to interpret the classic adage: bonum est diffusivum sui. 4) Finally, we will discuss the “spiritual passiveness” theme, which is essential for contemporary philosophy and inherent to the problematic of the gift. We will also insist on the immanence of the beneficiary receptivity in the essential structure of the gift.
