LE DÉSENCHANTEMENT DE LA PHÉNOMÉNOLOGIE: LE SENS ÉTHIQUE DE LA REPRÉSENTATION

Abstract

Resumo: O artigo retoma a anfibologia do ser e do ente, tal qual ela aparece numa das mais importantes obras de Levinas (Autrement qu'être ou au-delà de l'essence), explicitando o sentido fenomenológico desta ambiguidade. Além disso, sustenta que o conceito de intencionalidade, mesmo sendo um emblema da subordinação da representação à ontologia, não deixa de ser, paradoxalmente, a ruptura desta submissão. Mas, para tanto, será preciso desencantar a própria fenomenologia, mostrando que o sentido da representação é, antes de mais, um sentido ético.

Abstract: The present paper resumes the amphibology of being (être) and of the being (l'étant), as it appears in one of Levinas' most important works (Autrement qu'être ou au-delà de l'essence), showing the phenomenological meaning of this ambiguity. It is also proposed that the concept of intentionality, although an emblem of the subordination of representation to ontology, is paradoxically the rupture of this submission. However, in order to do so, it is necessary to disenchant phenomenology itself, showing that the meaning of representation is above all ethical.
