CONCEPÇÕES ÉTICAS E TRÊS MUNDOS DA CORRUPÇÃO

Resumo

Este ensaio discute a questão da corrupção com base no problema da ética na política. O argumento central é que a análise da corrupção somente pode ser cotejada tendo em vista as motivações dos agentes políticos no momento de justificar as barreiras entre a dimensão pública e a dimensão privada. Ademais, contra a naturalização dos conceitos liberais, estas justificações são realizadas por diferentes noções do alcance dos princípios éticos, que permitem diferentes abordagens sobre o problema da corrupção e seus efeitos sobre a legitimidade política.

Abstract: This essay discusses the question of corruption concerning the question of Ethics in the realm of politics. The central argument is that the analysis of corruption can only be undertaken bearing in mind the motivations of the political actors when justifying the barriers between the public and private dimensions. Moreover, these justifications, set against the naturalization of liberal concepts, are based on different notions found in ethical principles that enable different approaches concerning the issue of corruption and its effects on political legitimacy.
