ÉTICA E POLÍTICA: IRREDUTIBILIDADE E INTERAÇÃO DE RELAÇÕES ASSIMÉTRICAS

Resumo

Ética e política relacionam-se como planos autônomos e insuficientes da existência humana, segundo uma primazia objetiva da política e uma prioridade problemática da ética. A moderna oposição entre ética e política pode ser superada na figura histórica da democracia participativa, por uma recuperação do antigo ideal de vida virtuosa na comunidade ética e por um aprofundamento da dialética da igualdade na diferença, levando a termo as exigências da liberdade e diminuindo assim a violência nas relações humanas.

Abstract: The connection between ethics and politics is presented in terms of an objective primacy of politics and a problematic priority of ethics. Both of these levels of human existence are to be understood in terms of autonomy and insufficiency of each one. The modern participative democracy historical figure is able to overcome the modern opposition among them, by rescuing the ancient ideal of virtuous life in the ethical community and by deeping the dialectic of equality in the difference, accomplishing thus the exigences of freedom and diminishing the violence in human relations.
