A RELAÇÃO ENTRE A ABERTURA TRANSCENDENTAL DO HOMEM E A VIDA VIRTUOSA EM O SENHOR DOS ANÉIS

O artigo analisa como se dá a relação entre a abertura transcendental do homem, entendida segundo uma definição específica, e a sua prática virtuosa. Procuramos encontrar esses conceitos e essa aplicação primeiramente na Ética a Nicômaco de Aristóteles, que se torna assim nosso marco teórico. Em seguida, verificaremos de que forma essa relação se manifesta nas ações e nos discursos de O Senhor dos Anéis, de Tolkien. Percebendo a força ética das histórias de fadas, sabemos que podem ajudar o homem comum da sociedade contemporânea a compreender seu lugar no mundo e a tornar-se uma pessoa melhor. Nosso texto manifesta a ligação íntima e recíproca entre a abertura ao Bem e a prática das virtudes.
Abstract:Â This article analyses how happens the relationship between transcendental opening of the human being, according a specific definition, and his/her virtuous practise. We look for this concepts and application firstly in the Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, as theoretical mark of this article. After that, we verify how this relationship is present in the actions and speeches of The Lord of the Rings, written by Tolkien. Perceiving the ethical strength of fairy tales, we know that they can help the common human being of the contemporary society to understand his/her place in the world and to become a best person. The article shows the interne and reciprocal liaison between the opening to the Good and the practice of virtues.
