O ACESSO FILOSÓFICO AO RELIGIOSO PELOS CÍRCULOS HERMENÊUTICOS DE RICOEUR

Resumo

O artigo analisa, em especial, a seção intitulada “Ensaios de hermenêutica bíblica”, que é a última parte da obra de Ricoeur “Leituras 3 – Nas Fronteiras da Filosofia”. Essa seção engloba três capítulos. O primeiro, intitulado “Fenomenologia da religião”, esclarece como os círculos hermenêuticos vinculam-se à constituição escriturística das tradições judaica e cristã, desdobrando-se em três níveis: a) pela circularidade entre a Palavra de Deus e a manifestação desta Palavra viva nas Escrituras; b) pela circularidade entre a comunidade religiosa e o conjunto Palavra/Escrituras, adquirindo sua identidade; c) pela circularidade da grande história interpretativa na alma do crente, adquirindo um caráter transformador e existencial. No segundo capítulo, “Entre filosofia e teologia I: A Regra de Ouro em questão”, nosso autor parte da moral kantiana para articular sua lógica da equivalência com a “perspectiva da economia do dom” e sua lógica da superabundância. Por fim, no último artigo da série, “Entre filosofia e teologia II: nomear Deus”, Ricoeur mostra que, por meio da circularidade de sentidos presentes nas Escrituras Sagradas, há uma complexa nomeação de Deus. Essa circularidade, no entanto, aponta no interior dela mesma seu próprio limite significativo diante do mistério divino.

Abstract: This paper focuses on the section entitled “Essays on Biblical hermeneutics”, which is the last part of the book “Lectures 3: At the frontiers of philosophy”. This section comprises three chapters. The first, entitled “Phenomenology of Religion”, explains how the hermeneutic circles are linked to the constitution of scriptural Jewish and Christian traditions, unfolding on three levels: a) the circularity between the Word of God and the manifestation of this living Word in the Scriptures b) the circularity between the religious community and the Word/Scriptures, which grants it its identity, c) the circularity of the great interpretive history in the soul of the believer, which grants it its transformative and existential character. In the second chapter, “Between Philosophy and Theology I: The Golden Rule in question,” the author departs from Kantian moral to connect its logic of equivalence with the “perspective of a gift-giving economy” and its logic of superabundance. Finally, in the last article of the series, “Between Philosophy and Theology II: naming God”, Ricoeur shows that, through the circularity of meanings present in the Scriptures, there is a complex naming of God. This circularity in itself, however, points to its own significant threshold before the divine mystery.
