PERCURSO FILOSÓFICO PARA A CONCEPÇÃO DE ALTERIDADE

Resumo

O artigo situa a questão filosófica da alteridade na perspectiva histórica de sua elaboração desde os primórdios da filosofia ocidental até as atuais reflexões filosóficas sobre o assunto. Analisa esse conceito levando em conta as mudanças no sentido da palavra alteridade e na relação ao outro, as condições e razões da renovação desse conceito, algumas importantes contribuições sobre a questão, na nossa época. Põe em relevo a relação dessas reformulações com as profundas transformações sócio-culturais em curso e com as pesquisas no campo do conhecimento social e humano. Ressalta o duplo movimento de retorno às raízes gregas e de reformulação filosófica realizado em particular por Paul Ricoeur através de suas pesquisas sobre o ser, a consciência, a linguagem e a interpretação. Indica o percurso filosófico dessa elaboração partindo da antiga ontologia grega até a concepção ontológica contemporânea do Si Mesmo e do Outro da Consciência. Ultrapassando as antigas oposições entre o mesmo e o outro, o concidadão e o estrangeiro ou entre a mudança e a permanência, esta nova concepção do ser esboça uma ontologia da alteridade.

Abstract: This article situates the philosophical question of alterity within the historical perspective of its elaboration, ranging from the origins of envolviwestern philosophy to the most recent reflections on the topic. This concept analysis takes into account changes in the meaning of the word alterity as well as in the relationship to others, the conditions and reasons of this concept renewal, and some important current contributions on the issue. It also underlines the relationship between these reformulations, the profound social-cultural transformations that are presently taking place and the research in the field of social and human knowledge. It moreover emphasizes the double movement of return to the Greek roots and of philosophical reformulation, in particular that undertaken by Paul Ricoeur throughout his research on human beings, consciousness, language and interpretation. It sketches out the whole philosophical trajectory, from the ancient Greek ontology to the contemporary ontological conception of the Self/Other-Consciousness, while going beyond the traditional oppositions between self and other, citizen and foreigner, or change and permanence. This new conception of human being opens up to an ontology of alterity.
