A originalidade da teoria dos signos tem suas raízes no profundo conhecimento da tradição filosófica por parte de Ch. S. Peirce. Neste texto, o autor retoma estudos de Kempski, Murphey, Apel, Habermas e Calvet de Magalhães sobre a original reativação filosófica da representação, operada pelo pragmatista americano. Privilegiada é a problemática do indivíduo que subjaz à s relações Peirce-Kant.
Summary: The originality of the theory of signs has its roots in the deep understanding that Ch. S. Peirce had of the philosophical tradition. I n this paper the author retakes the studies of Kempski, Murphey, Apel, Habermas and Calvet de Magalhães about the original philosophical reactivation of representation carried out by the American pragmatist. Here, the problematic of the individual that underlies the Peirce-Kant relations are privileged.
