UN ANÁLISIS DEL OPÚSCULO DE KASIMIR TWARDOWSKI “INHALT UND GEGENSTAND” EN LA PERSPECTIVA DE SU SIGNIFICACIÓN PARA LA ESCUELA DE BRENTANO

Abstract

Abstract: K. Twardowski is remembered in the history of philosophy as Brentano's disciple who took a critical view in relation to his master when he demanded, in his famous opus “Zur Lehre vom Inhalt und Gegenstand der Vorstellung”, a distinction between the object and its representation's content. However, the reception of Twardowski is a task yet to be completed. Although some aspects of his thought are very well known, others still have not received the attention they deserve or have simply been bypassed. This article offers a presentation of the opus as a whole, dedicating special attention to the previously neglected aspects of his work.

Resumen: K. Twardowski es recordado en la historia de la filosofía como un discípulo de Brentano que asume una postura crítica con respecto a su maestro al exigir la distinción entre objeto y contenido de la representación en su celebre opúsculo “Zur Lehre vom Inhalt und Gegenstand der Vorstellung”. Mas la recepción de Twardowski es una tarea que no está completada. En tanto algunos aspectos de su pensamento son intensamente subrayados, otros no han recibido el acento que merecen o simplemente han sido pasados por alto. El presente artículo ofrece una presentación de conjunto del opúsculo mencionado que dedica especial atención a los aspectos descuidados.
