TRANSCENDÊNCIA IMANENTE: SOBRE A RELAÇÃO ENTRE DEUS E O MUNDO

Resumo

A relação entre Deus e o mundo é uma questão que interroga o homem. No politeísmo grego o divino é de tal modo misturado ao mundano que não consegue agir nele. Diversa é a situação no cristianismo no qual Deus, embora transcendendo o mundo é 'prático”˜ e atua na história mediante acontecimentos, entre os quais se destacam a Criação e a Encarnação. É mister elaborar a categoria paradoxal de 'transcendência imanente”˜ para explicar o agir de Deus. Na época moderna ocorreu uma redução do conteúdo da sua idéia, preâmbulo do deísmo e do ateísmo, em virtude da prevalência de visões científicas de cunho matemático, mecânico, biológico, segundo as quais Deus deixa um traço mínimo de sino cosmo. Em seguida, o paper estuda as formas radicais da relação entre Deus e o mundo à luz da metafísica da participação e da presença pela graça, que desembocam enfim no reditus ad Deum do cosmo e do homem, como ato último da 'transcendência”˜ imanente”˜.

Abstract: The relationship between God and the world is a thought-provoking question for humankind. In Greek polytheism, the divine is so interwoven with the mundane that it cannot act without the latter. The situation is different for Christianity since God, although transcendent, is “practical” and acts upon history through events such as the Creation and Incarnation. It is of primary importance to elaborate the paradoxical category o “immanent transcendence” in order to explain how God operates. In modern times, there has been a reduction of what is contained in the idea of God, leading to deism and atheism. This is due to the prevalence of scientific visions, of a mathematical, mechanical or biological nature, according to which God only leaves a minimum trace of himself in the cosmos. The paper will then move on to the radical forms of relationship between God and the world, by focusing on the metaphysics of participation and of the divine presence by grace, which lead to both the cosmos and man's reditus ad Deum, as an ultimate act of “immanent transcendence.”
