A MORADA DE DEUS ENTRE OS HOMENS

Resumo

O Deus de Israel faz-se próximo de seu povo, relacionando-se com ele de forma pessoal, habitando no meio dele. Desse modo, este trabalho aborda a Morada de Deus entre os homens, de modo transversal na Bíblia. Partindo do Pentateuco, será apresentado o período da manifestação de Deus na caminhada do povo de Israel no deserto que parte do Sinai ao estabelecimento da “morada portátil”, onde Deus se encontra com seu povo. Nisso, também serão analisadas as formas verbais de “habitar” e os termos que designam “morada” na língua hebraica, buscando uma melhor compreensão de seu significado. Em seguida, será apresentada a transição da morada de Deus para o Templo, sua forma sedentarizada e, posteriormente, para uma dimensão mais ampla independente do Templo, outrora perdido no Exílio da Babilônia. Depois, no Novo Testamento, através da vida e da missão de Jesus Cristo, será observada a nova significação de templo, identificando-o com o ser humano. Ao final dos tempos, esse significado será pleno com a descida da morada de Deus lá no céu para a terra, constituindo a Nova Jerusalém. Por fim, uma hermenêutica do tema provocará reflexões que repercutem na vida e na fé cristã dos tempos atuais.

Abstract: The God of Israel is close to his people, relates to them personally, and dwells with them. Thus, this paper addresses the Dwelling of God among men in the Bible by way of a transversal study. Starting from the Pentateuch, the period of the manifestation of God will be presented in the journey of the Israelites in the desert of Sinai to establish the "portable dwelling" where God meets his people.  Verbal forms of "dwelling" and the words designating "dwelling" in the Hebrew language will be analyzed, seeking a better understanding of their meaning. Then the transition of the dwelling of God to the Temple will be presented, firstly its sedentary form, and its wider dimension independent of the Temple, after the Babylon's Exile. This study will then examine in the New Testament, through the life and mission of Jesus Christ, the new significance of temple, which is identified with with the human person. At the end time, that meaning will be full as the descent of God's dwelling in heaven to earth, thus constituting the New Jerusalem. Finally, a hermeneutics of the subject will provoke reflections that impact current Christian life and faith.
