O ETERNO DESAFIO DO CONHECIMENTO

Resumo

O desejo pelo conhecimento faz parte da natureza humana, característica que brota de sua admiração diante da realidade. Entretanto, junto com o conhecimento também surgem os erros e as opiniões. Tomando-se a definição de conhecimento como crença verdadeira justifica, procura-se analisar cada um dos três elementos dessa definição, ressaltando os desafios inerentes a cada um: o desafio da crença, o desafio da verdade e o desafio da justificação. Diante disso, a dúvida aponta para a impossibilidade de um conhecimento seguro, havendo somente conhecimentos relativos. Por fim, mesmo diante de tais desafios e limitações ao conhecimento, aquele desejo em conhecer permanece infinito e ilimitado.

Abstract: The desire for the knowledge is part of the human nature. It is characteristic mark that comes from the admiration of a reality. However, mistakes and opinions also arise with the knowledge. Considering the definition of knowledge as justified true belief, we seek to analyze each one of the three parts of that definition, highlighting their inherent challenges: the challenge of belief, the challenge of truth, the challenge of justification. And also, the doubt points to the impossibility of a right knowledge, but to relative knowledge. Nevertheless, despite of these challenges and limitation, the desire for knowledge remains infinite and unlimited.
