A TEORIA HOBBESIANA DA REPRESENTAÇÃO

Resumo

Neste artigo, pretendo examinar a teoria jurídica da representação formulada por Hobbes no capítulo XVI do Leviathan e discutir algumas das questões levantadas por Hanna Fenichel Pitkin acerca da conformidade entre as implicações da definição hobbesiana de autoridade e os exemplos citados pelo filósofo inglês na explicitação de sua teoria.

ABSTRACT: In this paper I intend to examine the juridical theory of representation formulated by Hobbes in chapter XVI of Leviathan and discuss some of the questions raised by Hanna Fenichel Pitkin concerning the conformity between the implications of the hobbesian definition of authority and the examples quoted by the English philosopher in the presentation of his theory.
