Abstract: The types of youth do not always realize the plurality. However, analyzing it from the trends allows greater flexibility in the understanding of the existential situation of young people. They define themselves as they relate to their own body, with the psychic dimension, with the intellectual aspect, with the movement towards the Transcendence and with the lived practice within a particular culture. In each one of the aspects studied the confrontation with Christian faith is established. The complex situation of the youth challenges the pastoral practice of the Church. By understanding the fundamental cultural and religious lines that mark, it shall be the task of the pastoral activity to affirm the positive aspects perceived and counteract those that do not prepare young people for adult living and for a faith life. Faith maturity is built slowly in the process of facing the provocations of the cultural and religious trends.
ER -
